Our principal trainer, Mark Battersby, is a qualified Driver Trainer and Tafe Trainer with experience in teaching teenagers and young adults. Mark has 15 years experience as a Victoria Police officer where he was trained to emergency service driving standards. Mark has hands on knowledge and expertise in driving test routes from Burwood & Mooroolbark VicRoads.
Learner drivers and parents can rest easy knowing that they are in the hands of a true professional. Skills such as hazard perception and forward planning are taught as a priority to ensuring the safety of Learners when they obtain their probationary licence. **Keys2Drive is a government initiative that provides a different approach to learning to drive – a coaching method called ‘find your own way’ which over time will create a new culture of driver behaviour.
TAC statistics tell us when they obtain their P plates and begin to drive solo, their risk of serious injury or death increases dramatically. Keys2Drive aims to reduce the crash risk during the first 6 months of solo P plate driving. We achieve this by helping learner drivers gain the mental skills they need to safe on the road once on their P’s. Mark Battersby is an accredited Keys2Drive Driver Trainer.
